GBPUSD: not a pretty picture

More bad news for the UK and the initial drop of 20 points quickly became 50 to put Cable back on the rack at 1.5000.

The H4 show that the recent down channel is being approached and the weekly will give you an idea where could go !

A weekly close below 1.4940 leaves some clear air with the odd hiccup down to the 1.4550 low

EURUSD tech perspective

Posted: 04 Mar 2013 01:17 AM PST

Break of the 1.3000 on friday looks constructive to potentially test the 1.2840-70 region if we get further bearish impetus with comments from the european politicos.

On the topside we have the break down areas of 1.3050 and 1.3150 to limit upward excitement.

Coming up : UK Construction PMI at 09.30 GMT

Posted: 04 Mar 2013 01:15 AM PST

Just a reminder that we have UK Construction PMI coming along at 09.30 gmt.

Expecting 49.00 vs 48.7 previously

Given Friday’s awful Manufacturing number, and the subsequent mayhem that ensued, it would be wise to be poised!

London calling it ? seems no direction as the opens comes and goes

Posted: 04 Mar 2013 12:19 AM PST

The open has brought no early direction and the morning remains calm…famous last words ?

GBPJPY is a tad firmer with the USDJPY 10-15 points higher than when I started, currently 140.72.

GBPJPY H4

One of my favourites – a nice little channel to trade ? the 0.236 seems to be providing some support at the moment for a test of the 0.38% ? food for thought…
