| UK’s Cameron to ask G8 to support crack down on aggressive tax avoidance Posted: 15 Jun 2013 03:02 AM PDT Ahead of the G8 meeting PM Cameron will today press Britain’s overseas tax havens to sign up to an international transparency treaty. Bermuda has already agreed and the other countries are the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Gibralter,Anguilla, Montserrat, Turks & Calcois Island, and of course those closer to home Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. He will then ask G8 leaders, including Barack Obama and Angela Merkel, to sign up to a new set of core principles on tax on the second and final day of the summit, which opens in Northern Ireland on Monday. He reveals all in an interview with The Guardian today |
